Blue Bag Project
Organize a one-time clothing pickup at your church or workplace
Project can be used for this outreach can be used at any church OR local business (or even during VBS in the summers). The purpose of this program is a short-term commitment for a one-time collection of items (which can be held as often as desired). The Handfuls of Purpose is will be a one-year commitment from the church, whereas the BBP has no long time commitment. It was created to help businesses and churches create generosity, and compassion, and to encourage the intentional giving of items with lots of life left in them to others. The blue bags are handed out to employees or church members to fill with gently used clothing or shoes. The church or business participating will encourage everyone to fill the bags with gently used clothing and return them to be donate to Caring Heart. Each morning they can bring in their bags to watch their generosity and love for others grow. We can pick up items collected, just schedule that with one of the managers.
To celebrate, we can even bring in ice cream and popsicles to celebrate their success in giving back!
